JAFF COMPLETES LONDON MARATHON!
I was slobbishly glued to my TV screen this morning, trying to pick out Jaff on his slog around London in this year’s marathon. He was running in aid of Meningitis UK, and he’s been training hard over the last 6 months to get a ‘good time’. He got a computer chip to stick in his trainer (hard luck, chip – I’ve smelled those bad boys), so that his friends could check his progress from the comfort of their own homes. I knew, through this remarkable little device, roughly when he’d be crossing the line and I sat fixated on the ‘finish line’ coverage to see him bring it on home. I caught him on there – his exact time is still to be confirmed but I reckon it was about 4hrs45mins or something.
Anyway – here he is in full Forrest Gump get-up, training in Sunderland last week.
